The Abacos'
Great Guana Cay Pix

In addition to more than 5.5 miles of incredible beaches on Guana's eastern shores, Travelers will find miles of crystal-white, virtually deserted sand on Guana's western shores. Overlooking The Sea of Abaco, Baker's Bay starts a little more than a mile south of the ill-conceived tourist development of Treasure Island (fortunately now defunct), and continues uninterrupted to the narrowest part of Guana (a few hundred feet wide and the location of some rather spectacular island-style homes).

[Above left] The main street of Guana's single, small settlement runs all the way around Kidd's Cove, past several small souvenir shops and Guana's single grocery store. Keep following Guana's "main street" 'till it turns to a a wide and well maintained dirt road, and you'll eventually wind up at Guana's newest beach bar and outdoor restaurant - Nipper's [Top right pix].
NIPPERS BEACH

Guana 5.5 mile beach

The eastern shores of Great Guana Cay offer miles of almost deserted, snow-white sand and an opportunity to snorkel or dive a reef that, in some places, is less than 50 feet from the shoreline [above].
