Fleets in the
2004 RTIA Series will be established as follows (subject to change):
RTIA / PHRF Fleet
Racing Yachts carrying full sails and spinnakers.
Skippers of RTIA / PHRF yachts shall provide evidence of rating
as issued by a sanctioned PHRF organization. Ratings may be adjusted
to conform with those issued by PHRF of Southeast Florida. Classes
within this fleet may be established for heavy and light displacement
yachts, as well as one design classes with five or more yachts
entered for the series.
CRUISING BOAT
FLEET
Traditionally called "Mothers Tub" Fleet
This fleet is for heavy displacement yachts sailing in full cruising
configuration, with NO SPINNAKERS or other specialty sails. Classes
within this fleet will be established by the Race Committee.
"Mothers Tub" yachts will be assigned an initial rating
as can be best determined by the Race Committee. A yacht's rating
may be adjusted from race to race in an effort to afford all
"Mothers Tub" yachts an equal opportunity to win.
MULTI-HULL FLEET
Racing and Cruising multihulls.
Ratings for multihull yachts will be assigned by the Race Committee
based on MASF time on time handicap allowances. One design multihull
classes may be established if five or more one design multihull
yachts enter the entire series.
