REAL ESTATE COMPANIES and RENTAL SERVICES COMPANIES IN ABACO

The Abaco Club is unique in Abaco. However, there are other places one could go to in Abaco to either buy a piece of property, a house or rent a cottage or home for a vacation. (WEBMASTER NOTE: several long-term, professional real estate sales companies such as Land and Sea Realty were not mentioned in this article.)

In Man O War there is Haziel Albury Real Estate as well as Schnooner's Landing Resort which rents two bedroom town houses.

In Hope Town there is Chris Thompson Real Estate. Malone Estates managed by Arnold Hall which sells, rents cottages and has property management service. They rent Hope Town Hideaways.

In Guana Cay there is Pinder's Real Estate as well as the new development not completely on line called Orchid Bay.

On Scotland Cay, a completely private cay, there is Scotland Cay Estates which takes care of sales on Scotland Cay.

In Marsh Harbour there is Bahamas Realty which primarily sells property and homes.

Abaco Real Estate sells property, and homes but also rents a few select homes primarily on eastern shore.

Many of the available rental homes on eastern shore are rented through the owners themselves or they designate someone in Abaco to handle the rentals for them and that is not necessarily a real estate concern.

Some owners who live on cays such as Lubbers Quarters. Tiloo has cottages to rent but again they do that themselves primarily.

In Treasure Cay Treasure Cay Real Estate handles the sale of property, homes and villas.

William Hertz in Treasure Cay handles the sale of homes and property as well as construction of homes.

There is also GIF Property Management in Treasure Cay which manages some of the property in Treasure Cay. Many of the property owners in Treasure Cay rent their property themselves or again have someone handle it our them and again not necessarily a real estate firm.

Regardless, foreigners who wish to purchase property, a home or build a home in the Bahamas must have the approval of the Foreign Investment Board which involves some paperwork and about a 4-6 week waiting period for approval.
