Nightlife

If you're a seasoned Traveler, chances are very good you're gonna LOVE our friendly, sincere and wonderful people, our deserted beaches and the truly peaceful , UNcommercialized environment of our Abaco islands.

If you're a neon-loving, wristwatch-watching, fast-food loving Tourist, you might want to seriously reconsider a trip to our UNdeveloped, UNdiscovered and UNcrowded islands.

Tourists (as opposed to Travelers) love non-stop, neon-lighted casino "action" ... spinning and flashing and clanging and clamoring slot machines spewing out tens of thousands of quarters every hour of the day ... stud poker, jackpots, blackjack ... wheels of fortune, craps and roulette tables ... dazzling disco and "Vegas-style" entertainment 'till dawn ... "American-style" cuisine, "cute" little cabarets and umbrellas in the $10 drinks ... rumpled Italian knock-off suits and black socks with sandels and phoney Hawaiian-print shorts ... out-of-control, high-fiving, butt-slapping attendees of the 8th Annual Convention of The Loyal Order of Aardvaark Groomers ... 1,000's of people on 100's of square feet of man-made, machine-maintained beaches.

Tourists (as opposed to Travelers) love taxi rides to almost everywhere ... "Made In China" souveniers and "adorable" little coffee cups, memorial plates, shot glasses, ashtrays, tooth-pick holders, coasters, can coolers, T-shirts (by the thousands ... tastelessly displaying incredibly stupid or offensive messages), key chains, belt buckles, neon sunglasses and a numbing selection of obnoxious plastic gee-gaws imprinted with the ubiquitous Pink Flamingos saying "It's Better In ______ (fill in the blank)" ... emotionless, sterile high-rise hotel rooms reminiscent of "Kansas City's finest" (complete with a "hint of The Caribbean", courtesy of a New York decorator who has never been south of Staten Island) ... countless ridiculous bikinis attempting to cover impossible numbers of sun-worshiping beach-goers who have never even tried to diet and couldn't possibly care less.

It has been said by many sages that
people are smart ... crowds are not. We welcome out-going, adventure-seeking, open-minded Travelers to the UNcrowded Abaco islands. Crowds of "what-show-we-gonna-see-tonight" Tourists never visit The Abacos!
