Our homes have been designed with the same sense of environmental appreciation as our community The homes of Coconut Cove will utilize precut wall panels, roof trusses, headers etc., manufactured by the Deltec Corporation in Asheville, North Carolina. They are constructed of top grade, pressure treated Southern pine with stainless steel nails and hurricane straps. The villas have vaulted ceilings, open space, ample decks on both levels, and will have a 180 degree panoramic view of the Sea of Abaco as a result of their polygon shape. The 1,600 sq. ft. model has, on each level, twelve 8 ft. x 8 ft. sides, the 2,000 sq. ft. model has fourteen 8 ft. x 8 ft. sides, and the 2,400 sq. ft. version has 15, 8 ft. x 8 ft. sides |
A Coconut Cove home's round shape is the ultimate in offering the least exposed area during a tropical blow. Consequently, the survival record for Deltec's homes throughout the hurricane belt is an extraordinary 100 percent! That is something to consider when investing in the tropics. Although the last real damaging hurricane in Abaco was Betsy in 1965, there have been other recent brushes with hurricanes but with minimal damage. Quality control is critically important when building in the Bahamas, and Deltec continues to provide "100 percent proven" quality to discriminating and selective homeowners throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean.
